Biography
Dr. Stephen Smith is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Pain Medicine and has been working as an Interventional Pain Specialist for over 20 years. He attended medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and later completed his Anesthesiology Residency at St. Louis University Health Sciences Center in Missouri and began his work there in anesthesiology and pain management as an attending physician in chronic and acute pain. He then spent most of his career in Missouri. Later he was recruited as Director of Pain Management at Christian Hospital Northeast and Northwest in St Louis for a decade. He then became owner and Director of Midwest Pain Center and Interventional Pain Center of Chesterfield surgery center for fifteen years while simultaneously serving as Medical Director of SSM DePaul Pain Care from 2010 to 2019. In 2019 he moved to Englewood where he opened Englewood Pain Management. He is excited to join the Ramos Center and to continue to treat chronic pain sufferers in the Englewood and surrounding communities.

Dr. Smith is a married father of four. In his free time, he can be found fishing, reading, and quoting his favorite movies.
