Safe, Minimally Invasive & Highly Effective Treatment
Vertebral Compression Fractures (VCF’s) are a serious, acute and painful condition which if left untreated can lead to serious complications. Kyphoplasty and Sacroplasty are the best option for unstable fractures of the spine. These procedures are used to stabilize and control pain of the weakened or fractured vertebrae.
An estimated 750,000 VCF’s occur each year. People who have sustained one osteoporotic VCF are at five times higher risk of sustaining a second VCF. The majority of patients will experience severe pain but occasionally, a VCF can be present with either minor symptoms or no symptoms, but the risk still exists for additional VCF’s to occur.
In most cases our Providers will be able to relieve or significantly reduce VCF pain by performing a vertebral augmentation Kyphoplasty/Sacroplasty. At the Ramos Center, we have been performing these procedures for over a decade, proving to be the most experienced in the Sarasota/Manatee region.
