Pain Around the Breast/Armpit Area
Breast pain is commonly associated with a woman’s monthly cycle and does not necessarily have a direct correlation to breast cancer. Oftentimes, pain will come and go based on where a woman is within her cycle and it is not something to worry about. However, if you notice a constant pain that doesn’t seem to get better or worsens, it is advised to seek medical attention for a proper breast examination.
Pain Associated With Treatment
Whether you are receiving chemotherapy or radiation, each of these treatments includes a list of uncomfortable side effects that should also be treated with pain management.
Side Effects of Radiation
- Swelling around the treated area
- Hair loss in the areas of the chest and armpit
- Skin reactions
- Tiredness and fatigue
